As artists we tend to turn away from marketing choosing to "let the work speak for itself" but there are so many other factors that people consider when looking at your art that are inextricably tied to your identity wether or not we want to acknowledge it.

There are two main types of artists when it comes to communicating publicly about one's art, there are those who choose to say very little and those that say a lot.

The previous exercise will help you become aware of your personal brand and give you some tools to refine your brand to it's most essential essence to most effectively communicate your vision to your audience.

At the end of the day we are trying to distill the "Artist's Statement" about your work down to just one or two lines that quickly and effectively communicate what you do.

This is NOT meant to be the definitive summary of what your art is about but really serves as a hook to help your audience connect with your intention, motivation or goals.
