Cold storage of your crypto assets gives you another layer of protection from theft as each transaction needs to be confirmed through the cold wallet itself unlike hot wallets.

It is highly recommended to keep your high value digital assets behind another layer of protection by using a "cold wallet".

This extra level of security requires you to confirm an additional secret code that you confirm on the device itself. The codes randomize with each use and would give you added protection even if your seed phrase is compromised.
